Protein-based techniques
Antigen detection
During antigen detection, specific antibodies are used that can recognize and bind to the target antigen. using ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) based molecular biology methods, we quantify the antigen in the various components of the sample. By detecting binding and reactions, the presence and concentration of antigen can be determined.
Antibody detection
During the detection of antibodies, the antibody composition of a sample is examined with ELISA immunological tests. Antibodies can be detected as a signal of response to an immune reaction, and their specific binding can be measured by various detection systems, such as fluorescent dye or enzymatic reaction. The test allows for early diagnosis of infections and can provide quantitative data on the strength of the immune response.
